For MUREs, faculty mentors will provide guided experiences that will allow all undergraduate participants to engage in the entire scientific process from question/hypothesis development to experimental design and implementation, and ending with construction of the manuscript. Each MURE should have a theme to focus initial conversations. This is a dynamic learning experience that we believe represents a unique learning/research opportunity for undergraduates, particularly with the academic year. Faculty mentors will need to be flexible and well prepared to facilitate student projects that will provide valuable product that helps inform regional conservation and ecosystem function. We aim to support four MUREs beginning in the 2023-24 academic year and ending in the 2026-27 academic year.
